Its exemplary commitment to workplace safety has garnered the Independence location the April 2018 Going Above and Beyond Award.
Each employee at the Independence store will receive a $25 Spahn & Rose gift card.
The team in Independence earned the recognition for consistently following safety procedures and continually taking steps to create a safe work environment.
“We wanted to reward and recognize employees for creating a culture of safety,” says Erik Thoms, Senior Director of Human Resources. “The Independence store was nominated based on their follow-through with safety procedures and overall safety record. Please join us in congratulating these employees.”
The Independence yard does an excellent job of submitting its Monthly Safety Meeting sheets on time and documenting forklift inspections. It has not had an injury or accident in more than two years.
When customers submit a review, any employees mentioned are nominated for the Above & Beyond award. Employees who earn the award receive a plaque honoring their achievements and a Spahn & Rose gift card.
