NEW GAF TIMBERLINE HDZ SHINGLES EASY TO INSTALL, STAND UP TO HIGH WINDS

When a pitcher grooves a fastball toward the plate, the goal is speed and accuracy. With GAF’s new Timberline HDZ shingles, contractors, roofers and builders will feel like aces thanks to GAF’s innovative StrikeZone nailing area.

Now available at Spahn & Rose locations throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin, Timberline HDZ shingles combine good looks with innovative new technology.

Part of GAF’s LayerLock technology, the StrikeZone nail area is larger, which means it’s easier to secure shingles to the deck. Using it, roofers were able to complete jobs 33 percent faster, according to a study by Home Innovation Research Labs, an independent research organization that compared installation of Timberline HD Shingles to Timberline HDZ Shingles on a standard four-nail nailing pattern under controlled laboratory conditions.

Architecturally stylish Timberline HDZ shingles give contractor and builder customers peace of mind with a lifetime limited warranty. When installed with the required combination of GAF accessories, Timberline HDZ shingles are eligible for an industry-first wind warranty with no maximum wind-speed limitation.

Another reason the shingles are easy to install is their Dura Grip technology, which pairs the microgranule surface of the StrikeZone nailing area for a fast tack. And Timberline HDZ shingles stand up to the elements because the asphalt-to-asphalt monolithic bond cures, providing durability, strength and exceptional wind-uplift resistance.

For added safety, too, these new shingles offer the highest roofing fire resistance with a rating of UL Class A, Listed to ANSI/UL 790.

The next step in GAF technology, Timberline HDZ shingles debuted at the 2020 International Roofing Expo this past February.
