Spahn & Rose has four on-site design experts with decades of experience who in a typical year will work on some 150 projects. Contractors and homeowners trust the Design Service to help renovate some of the oldest homes in Iowa and to create the aesthetic for some of the area’s most beautiful new ones.

New-home builds and renovations alike begin with meeting a Spahn & Rose designer. “Some customers have complete blueprints; others just have ideas and photos from Houzz or Pinterest,” Ressler says. “Our designers have the tools and experience to help from start to finish.”

For a remodel, Spahn & Rose experts visit your home, taking measurements to ensure more accurate price quotes. Both renovations and new-construction projects typically take about eight to 10 weeks, including ordering cabinets and countertops. “It’s important to get a sense of the clients’ style and the age of the home, then stay true to the home’s time period,” Ressler says. “We can custom-manufacture cabinets down to one-sixteenth of an inch. We can customize any product for your project.”

One essential component: making sure the project aligns with what you’re looking to spend. Spahn & Rose designers provide a variety of styles and finishes—you can see and touch samples—across a range of potential budgets.

Whether you’re renovating a house to flip it or designing your dream residence, Spahn & Rose will provide a 3D rendering of each design, enabling you to “walk” through the kitchen, visualize how the space will function and even see how you’ll store pots and pans. “We help customers coordinate everything from cabinets to countertops, light fixtures to hardware and flooring to paint color,” Ressler says.
