Sometimes Bruce Hurda’s day begins in the wee hours of the morning, about a half hour north of the Spahn & Rose store in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin.“I live north of the store and there are a lot of contractors in my area,” says Hurda, who has been a Spahn & Rose employee since 2000. “Sometimes I’ll bring orders with me and meet the contractors at 4:30 in the morning so they can get their material before the workday. I like being able to take care of the contractors and it saves them a lot of time.”
