Throughout April, Spahn & Rose celebrates its 115th anniversary of serving Iowa homebuilders and contractors. One of the longest continually operating lumber suppliers in the country, Spahn & Rose was profiled in a recent issue of Hardware+ Building Supply Dealer magazine (HBSD).

To support the Iowa Firefighters Association Convention in Waverly, Iowa, this September, Spahn & Rose has donated $1,500 to the organization. Garry Kolbet, general manager of the Spahn & Rose lumberyard in Waverly, requested the donation.
Since 2016, Spahn & Rose has donated $15,000 to the Dubuque, Iowa–based Luther Manor Communities, which provides assisted living to those in the tristate area. Founded more than 64 years ago, Luther Manor Communities is a faith-based nonprofit organization that has provided caring services to generations of Dubuque residents and their families.

This past May 4, the Iowa sky blazed a brilliant blue for the annual American Heart Association Heart Walk. On the beautiful, May day, thousands of participants lined up, ready to take the first steps of riverside route to raise money and awareness for the American Heart Association. (more…)
